Greg Kwedar & Clint Bentley Follow ‘Sing Sing’/‘Train Dreams’ With Netflix’s ‘Saturn Return’ — Melton, Brosnahan and Poulter to Star

September 5, 2025 Jordan Ruimy

Netflix continues to pile up prestige projects, this time scooping up “Saturn Return,” a Chicago-set romance starring Charles Melton, Rachel Brosnahan, and Will Poulter (via Deadline)

The “Saturn Return” spans a decade, charting the leap from the intoxicating optimism of college love to the bruising compromises of adulthood — the kind of premise that either soars or sinks into melodrama.

Greg Kwedar, director of “Sing Sing,” is at the helm here, reteaming with co-writer Clint Bentley after their Sundance breakout “Train Dreams,” with Plan B producing. These two are basically inseparable, a creative duo that has turned many heads these last few years.
