Well, this is certainly one way to promote your movie. Billboards for Emerald Fennell’s “Wuthering Heights” have suddenly popped up in London, New York City and Los Angeles. The film’s title isn’t even mentioned, there are just slogans (“Drive Mad,” “Drive Me Mad,” “Come Undone”).
The film had initially sparked a bidding war with Fennell, Robbie, and backer MRC ultimately passing on a $150M offer from Netflix and taking Warner Bros.’ “significantly lower” offer instead. Fennell/Robbie were adamant in giving their film a robust theatrical rollout. The Warners deal was in the $80M range.
Set for release on February 13, 2026, this adaptation of Emily Brontë’s 19th-century novel “Wuthering Heights” stars Jacob Elordi and Margot Robbie, with Emerald Fennell (“Saltburn,” “Promising Young Woman”) directing. The film was shot in VistaVision by cinematographer Linus Sandgren.
