Warner Bros. will send Zach Cregger’s “Weapons” to VOD next Tuesday, September 9, after a 31-day theatrical window.
The film remains the #1 box-office title, pulling in nearly $140M domestic and $230M worldwide on a $38M budget. A strong digital haul now seems inevitable for Warners. Since its August 8 release, “Weapons” has been unshaken atop the charts, with the exception of “KPop Demon Hunter” and its brief two-day exclusive.
That streak is expected to end this weekend with “The Conjuring: Last Rites,” projected to open above $40M and claim the top spot. By the time home viewing begins, “Weapons” should comfortably settle into second place. Either way, it’s been one hell of a run.
