Venice 82 Schedule Starts to Leak [Updated]

July 31, 2025 Jordan Ruimy

Some of the schedule for the 82nd Venice Film Festival is starting to leak out (via Objectif Festival). I’ve added more titles.

On August 28, Lanthimos’ “Bugonia” Baumbach’s “Jay Kelly,” and Nemes’ “Orphan” screen, which means there’s a good chance they screen at Telluride. In fact, of the competition titles, those three might be the only ones headed to “The Show.”

Aug. 27: Sorrentino
Aug. 28: Lanthimos, Baumbach, Nemes
Aug. 29: Guadagnino, Park, Poitras, Donzelli
Aug. 30: Del Toro, Rosi, Jenkin, Jones
Aug. 31: Jarmusch, Assayas, Martel
Sept. 1: Safdie, Fastvold
Sept. 2: Bigelow, Van Sant, Ozon
Sept. 3: Schnabel, Marcello, Ben Hania
Sept. 4: Mamoru, Shu Qi, Di Costanza
Sept. 5: Enyedi, Shangjun, Maresco

Skipping Telluride are a bunch of hotly anticipated films, including “After the Hunt,” “Frankenstein,” “Father Mother Sister Brother,” “The Wizard of Kremlin,” “The Smashing Machine,” “A House of Dynamite,” and “In the Hands of Dante.”

Still no word yet on dates for Martel, Ozon, Donzelli, Rosi, Poitras, Jones, Jenkins, Enyedi, etc.

Regardless, fall festival season is upon us, which means the quality of movies might be kicked up a notch after a summer filled with reboots and sequels. TIFF is supposed to announce more titles next week, and Telluride, as is the case, announces its lineup the day before the fest begins, August 28.
