Last year, India Donaldson’s “Good One” earned raves out of Sundance. This was a Reichardt-esque indie, made for just a couple of million dollars, tackling three characters who go on a camping trip.
I’m hearing that Donaldson has already set up her sophomore effort, and this time she’ll have A24’s backing. It’s titled “Chaperones,” and is also being produced by Brad Pitt’s PLAN B productions.
The film will revolve around four characters, two friends and their dealer, tasked in transporting their troubled friend across the country on their pick-up.
Production on “Chaperones” is supposed to start in late October. No casting details just yet, but with A24’s backing, I would not be surprised if Donaldson has a starrier cast this time around.
