Dave Bautista has joined the cast of Guy Ritchie’s “Road House 2,” which already had Jake Gyllenhaal returning as Dalton (via Nexus Point News). Will Beall wrote the script. A September shoot is being eyed on this one.
Bautista is set to take on the role of a former fighter, a character reportedly cut from the same cloth as Dalton. The upcoming sequel will also bring in a fresh lineup of characters, which strongly suggests that the majority of the original cast won’t be making a comeback.
“Road House” was a major hit for Amazon/MGM, attracting nearly 100 million viewers worldwide and becoming the streamer's most-watched film ever. Given his open disdain for the film’s lack of a theatrical release, director Doug Liman was replaced by Ritchie for the sequel.
Earlier this year, Zack Snyder mentioned having seen James Gunn’s “Superman.” Heaping praise on it. Now he’s saying he actually hasn’t caught up with it yet?
