Celine Song isn’t slowing down. After the critical success of “Past Lives” and the upcoming romantic comedy “Materialists,” the filmmaker is making her move to HBO.
Song is writing, and potentially directing, a new series titled “Damage,” set against the high-stakes, cutthroat backdrop of the e-sports world, which continues to explode in popularity and cultural relevance (via TheInSneider).
Song is expected to direct the pilot, but she’s also still mapping out her schedule and weighing options for her next feature. For now, “Damage” remains in early development at HBO and A24.
As expected, Snyder's latest is being torn apart by TIFF attendees. No mercy given. The film, which had its world premiere this evening, is being called by some one of the worst movies to ever premiere at the festival.
