Here’s a mysterious new project. I’m currently looking at a production grid that claims Ti West is shooting a mysterious new project called “Scream Queen” in Ireland on June 3. There’s been no info whatsoever about a new West movie, but I’ll update this post when more info leaks out.
This can’t possibly be a fourth instalment in his “X” franchise, right? West has stated, more than a few times, that he’s done with the franchise, but that title does seem to indicate he’ll be staying, firmly planted, inside the horror genre on this next one.
West should stick to making originals. I liked “The House of the Devil,” and “In A Valley of Violence”; the 43-year-old filmmaker has talent to spare, and his trilogy, composed of “X,” “Pearl,” and “MaXXXine,” seemed to have run its course with the last instalment, which was the weakest of the franchise.
