‘Weapons': Warner Bros. Posts 2+ Hours of Security Cam Footage in Latest Marketing

April 28, 2025 Jordan Ruimy

Last week, a 45-second teaser for Zach Cregger’s “Weapons” (08.08.25) was released online. Warner Bros. seems to be taking the long road when it comes to marketing this film. I’ve heard we won’t be getting a full-fledged trailer for a little while.

Warners is clearly taking a page out of Neon’s efficient “Longlegs” marketing from just a year ago, or if you want to go more retro, then what they seem to be going for in their marketing is something similar to the way ‘Blair Witch’ and ‘Cloverfield’ were promoted a few decades ago.

Regardless, the latest gimmick has Warner Bros releasing 2+ hours of security cam footage for “Weapons” on an unlisted YouTube channel. The footage seems to show the “disappeared” children; The plot has them all waking up in the middle of the night and walking out of their homes, not to be seen again. Take a closer look at the 2h 14min 26 sec mark, and you notice a man’s reflection staring at the screen.
