Here’s our quote of the day. Robert Pattinson was asked by his ‘Mickey 17’ co-star, Naomi Ackie, about the status of Matt Reeves’ “The Batman 2” which has now been delayed so many times that we’ve lost count (via Hero):
I fucking hope [it shoots soon]. I started out as young Batman & I’m going to be fucking old Batman by the sequel
It was recently reported that ‘The Batman 2’ would hopefully shoot by the “end of the year,” but given all of the delays that have come before it, and Pattinson’s clear pessimism towards the whole thing, who the hell bloody knows when cameras actually start to roll on this one.
As far as we know, the script still isn’t ready — Matt Reeves recently mentioned that he was still writing it. At least Andy Serkis, who portrays Alfred, recently confirmed that Reeves told him what the actual story was about. ‘The Batman 2’ was originally set to open on October 2, 2026, but Warner Bros recently delayed it to October 1, 2027.
