‘Captain America: Brave New World’ Earns Worst CinemaScore in MCU History

February 15, 2025 Jordan Ruimy

Things are looking dire for “Captain America: Brave New World” as it’s just received a B- on CinemaScore — the worst grade in MCU history. “The Marvels” had a better score. “Ant-Man and Wasp” had a better score.

On PostTrak, ‘Brave New World’ earned a tepid 3-stars. The IMDb score is also a mediocre 6/10. What we’re looking at here is not just a critical failure, but also significant audience disapproval.

At least some folks are still being suckered into watching it, the film will likely clear the $80M domestic mark in its first three days of release, but expect a massive drop come next weekend. Up next for Kevin Feige, “Thunderbolts” and “Fantastic Four” which aren’t automatic slam dunks.
