Here’s The InSneider reporting that “Hunger Games” stars Jennifer Lawrence and Josh Hutcherson are returning for Lionsgate’s next prequel, “The Hunger Games: Sunrise on the Reaping,” which is set to hit theaters on Nov. 20, 2026.
Lawrence will reprise her role as Katniss Everdeen, while Hutcherson will return as Peeta Mellark. They last tackled these roles 10 years ago in 2015’s “The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 2.” In total, each has appeared in four films in the franchise.
As a reminder, “Sunrise on the Reaping” follows the events of the 50th Hunger Games, whereas Katniss won the 74th Hunger Games — which likely means her and Hutcherson’s appearances will be a flash-forward spanning 20+ years.
