Trailer for David Ayer's ‘A Working Man'

January 9, 2025 Jordan Ruimy

David Ayer reteams with his ‘Beekeeper’ star Jason Statham for the action-thriller “A Working Man.” A full trailer has been released for the film, which is set for March 28, 2025 release via Amazon/MGM. Expect the expected with this one as Statham hammers his way through a group of human traffickers on a one-man wrecking crew mission.

None other than Sylvester Stallone co-wrote the film, with Ayer, which is an adaptation of Chuck Dixon’s 2014 novel “Levon’s Trade.” The film follows a special ops veteran who is forced to come out of retirement to save a young woman in danger.

So, while Ayer obsesses over his cut of ‘Suicide Squad,’ he’s still managing to make films. He’s supposed to next direct the survival thriller “In the Heart of the Beast” for Paramount, with Damien Chazelle attached as a producer. Ayer also has a long-developing remake of “The Dirty Dozen” in the works.

Initially known for his hit screenplays (“Training Day,” “The Fast and the Furious”), Ayer quickly managed to make his directorial mark with the gritty “Harsh Times,” “End of Watch” and, the underrated, “Fury.” However, ever since “Suicide Squad,” his career has taken a turn for the worst with the critical drubbings of “Bright,” “Sabotage” and “The Tax Collector.”
