An X user has pointed out an interview Park Chan-Wook conducted with Korean outlet Kino where he actually named the most overrated films of all-time, and he even goes as far as to rank them!
Park was a fairly unknown filmmaker at the time, and there’s absolutely no way he would do something like this today. A few years later, he’d release 2002’s “Sympathy for Mr. Vengeance” and gain international recognition with 2005’s “Oldboy.”
THE LIST
1. Full Metal Jacket (Stanley Kubrick)
2. Hana-bi (Takeshi Kitano)
3. Lost Highway (David Lynch)
4. Psycho (Alfred Hitchcock)

6. The Big Blue (Luc Besson)
7. The Thin Red Line (Terrence Malick)
8. Dark City (Alex Proyas)
9. Citizen Kane (Orson Welles)
10. Natural Born Killers (Oliver Stone)
The ‘Smile’ franchise has a new director. David Bruckner, who made “The Night House” and the 2022 “Hellraiser” reboot, has been hired to direct “Smile 3” for Paramount.
