I’ve already delved into the chaotic backstory of “The Exorcism,” which is now playing in theaters. The film was shot in 2019, and some of it was reshot in 2023. Just a brief update on the numbers, it’ll probably have a 3-day opening of $2M this weekend. However, a much more problematic sign, the usually easy to please CinemaScore audience gave the film a grade of “D.” In CinemaScore’s 45-year history, only 64 movies have received a grade of “D” or worse.
