ENCORE: Thomas Haden Church Joins ‘Knives Out 3’ Cast

June 4, 2024 Jordan Ruimy

UPDATE: I called it yesterday. Another actor has been added to the ‘Knives Out 3’ cast and it’s Thomas Haden Church (“Sideways”). This is getting ridiculous, maybe another actor gets announced tomorrow. We’re here all week.

EARLIER: Josh Brolin has joined the cast of ‘Knives Out 3.’ Is this it? Will more actors be announced before this one goes into production later this month? Bet on it.

EARLIER: Rian Johnson’s third ‘Knives Out’ film, titled “Wake Up Dead Man” is set to go into production next month and will be released in 2025.

It seems as though actors keep being added to this film. Jeremy Renner and Mila Kunis are now the latest to join the cast, which, so far, includes Brolin, Glenn Close, Kerry Washington, Daniel Craig, Andrew Scott, Cailee Spaeny and Josh O’Connor.

Craig is tapped to reprise his role as detective Benoit Blanc. The last instalment was 2022’s “Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery,” which was the first film in the series to be distributed by Netflix. In March 2021, the streamer obtained the rights to two ‘Knives Out’ sequels for $450 million; 2022’s ‘Glass Onion’ was the first, this next film will be the last one.

EARLIER: The third Knives Out, fully titled “Wake Up Dead Man: A Knives Out Mystery,” was recently confirmed to be released in 2025. Following that bit of news, Whats-on-Netflix is reporting that in talks to join Daniel Craig’s Benoit Blanc in the cast are Cailee Spaeny and Josh O’Connor.
