Here’s yet another Guy Ritchie movie being greenlit. He’s quickly turning into the most prolific filmmaker in Hollywood. The man is giving Ridley Scott a run for his money. Does he ever sleep?
Ritchie has directed five projects in the last four years, has already completed another one (“In the Grey”) set for January 2025 release and now has two films lined up to shoot this year. When will it stop? As long as Hollywood allows it to happen, it might never will.
Plot details are being kept under wraps for Ritchie’s “Wife And Dog,” which is said to deal with class in a similar vein to the recent Netflix TV series “The Gentlemen”. The project is launching at the Cannes market with Black Bear.
Ritchie is coming off this year’s action-comedy “The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare” as well as Netflix’s “The Gentlemen”. He also has “Fountain Of Youth,” starring Natalie Portman and John Krasinski, currently in production. As mentioned, “In The Grey” is in post.
