Amidst rumors that he’s retired, Korean master Lee Chang-dong, 69, is telling The Film Stage that he’s not calling it quits and is in fact currently writing two different projects at the same time. He adds that “it will not take long” for him to decide which he directs next. That is very good news. His last film was 2018’s “Burning,” perhaps his best one, but his filmography is filled with great films, “Poetry,” “Secret Sunshine” and “Peppermint Candy” are stand outs.
