Coming off last year’s wonderful “Afire,” maybe his best film, Christian Petzold is set to shoot his next one, “Miroirs No. 3”, starring Paula Beer, this spring.
This will mark Petzold’s fourth collaboration with Beer following “Transit,” “Undine,” and “Afire.” Beer will play “a young music student who has to restructure her life when her boyfriend dies in a car crash in the countryside,” (via Screen Daily).
Petzold is the acclaimed director behind “Phoenix,” “Transit” and “Barbara.” I don’t think he’s ever done Cannes before, at least not to my knowledge. We can expect “Miroirs No. 3” to premiere at next year’s Berlinale name.
Still no distributor for "Bucking Fastard," "Alpha Gang," "The Last Photograph," "Closing Night," and "The Life and Deaths of Wilson Shedd." The issue seems to be quality more than a lack of willingness to buy.
