Here’s another one we can go without. Jay Roach's next film is said to be a remake of Danny DeVito’s black comedy “The War of the Roses,” which starred Michael Douglas and Kathleen Hunter as a feuding couple who fight each other to the death. This time around, the vengeful lovebirds will be played by Benedict Cumberbatch and Olivia Colman. Tony McNamara is writing the screenplay. Searchlight is producing. It’s been retitled “The Roses.” The film is eyeing a June 2024 production start.
