Arnaud Desplechin’s next film, the docu-fiction hybrid “Spectateurs!,” will most likely premiere at Cannes this summer, but he’s already announced his next project.
A report from Ecran Total confirms that Léa Seydoux, Jason Schwartzman, John Turturro, and Golshifteh Farahani will star in “The Thing That Hurts,” which has just secured financing with Belgian money. The cast looks great and Desplechin has been on a roll of late.
The film, which is set to be shot this fall in Belgium, will “involve the patients of a recently deceased American psychotherapist, and their recollections of her.” Just a reminder, Desplechin’s best films include the likes of "A Christmas Tale," Kings and Queens," and "My Golden Days"
