The ‘Legacy’ has been dropped — it’s now called “Superman.” James Gunn explained that his sudden reversal on the title only came after locking the final draft of the script. Why not “The Superman” instead? Richard Donner’s 1978 film is well-known as “Superman” even though it’s official title back in the day was “Superman: The Movie” — Gunn doesn’t mind sharing the same title as that classic. Ballsy move. Gunn’s film started production in Norway yesterday.
