Jacob Elordi Being Investigated by Australian Police for Choking Someone Over ‘Saltburn’ Bathwater Joke

February 5, 2024 Jordan Ruimy

This early year is off to an interesting start for Jacob Elordi. He was the recipient of a prank by a radio host and his reaction wasn’t the most subdued.

The actor is being investigated by Australian police after allegedly assaulting a radio producer over a “Saltburn” bathwater joke.

The story goes that Elordi asked for the footage to be deleted, the producer refused, and then he claims a switch “flipped” and “his hands were around my throat.” Wild stuff.

Elordi was accosted by Joshua Fox, a producer for the stunt-filled breakfast show, which is expanding to Melbourne at a date yet to be confirmed. The exchange between the men soon turned sour after Fox refused to delete camera footage as per Elordi’s request.

Fox went to Waverley police station and made a report, but refused to give a formal statement. “Inquiries into the incident are continuing.”

The “Saltburn” scene in question has taken on a life of its own. In it, Oliver (Barry Keoghan) slurps the cum bath water in which Felix (Elordi) had just bathed, and masturbated in.

There’s been an inordinate amount of reaction videos, with fans recording their faces as they watched the bathwater scene for the first time. Some Gen Z’ers are even recording their parents’ reactions and those of older family members.

In the meantime, if you can’t get enough of this film, you can buy your very own Jacob Elordi bathwater-scented candle.
