Who Is It?

February 29, 2024 Jordan Ruimy

“Dune: Part Two” actress Rebecca Ferguson has set the internet on fire with a whodunnit that has turned out to be more entertaining than any of Kenneth Branagh’s Hercule Poirot movies.

What she just said about an “absolute idiot” co-star in a recent episode of the Reign With Josh Smith podcast has had online sleuths trying to uncover for the mystery man, or woman, who did her wrong on the set of a film.

During the interview, Ferguson revealed that a fellow co-star, in an unnamed film, had humiliated her by abusively screaming at her on set in front of the cast and crew.

I remember there was a moment [when] this human being was being so insecure and angry because this person couldn’t get the scenes out. And I think I was so vulnerable and comfortable that I got screamed at. But because this person was number one on a call sheet, there was no safety net for me. So, no one had my back. And I would cry walking off set… and I just stood there, breaking.

Ferguson went on to say that the mystery actor embarrassed and dressed her down on set, yelling at her in front of the crew, “You call yourself an actor? This is what I have to work with? What the f**k is this?”

At least we can cross off a few names from the list of suspects. Ferguson says it wasn’t Hugh Jackman or Tom Cruise. Also, in a very apparent way to shield himself from the list of suspects, Dwayne Johnson, Ferguson’s co-star in 2014’s “Hercules,” quickly weighed in on social media by saying “I’d like to know who did this.”

Meanwhile, these are the current Vegas odds — all of them must be sweating buckets right now, especially the guilty party.

  • Jake Gyllenhaal

  • Michael Fassbender

  • Meryl Streep

  • Hugh Grant

  • Ewan McGregor

  • Ryan Reynolds

  • Zac Efron

  • Emily Blunt

  • Chris Hemsworth

  • Jacob Tremblay

  • Tessa Thompson

Will we ever learn the name of the offender? That remains to be seen. Ferguson is remaining mum about it, especially since it could easily ruin a career. But there hasn’t been a more transfixing whodunnit since “Who Shot Mr. Burns” aired back in the summer of 1995.
