This might not be the end of Ti West's popular A24 horror franchise. The trilogy, which started with “X” and then “Pearl,” is set to be completed later this year with “MaXXXine.” We have no idea where this one will premiere, my best guess is Venice?
In an interview with WhatsUndertheBedwithDax, West confirmed that he’s almost done editing “MaXXXine” (“it’s coming along — so far, so good”) and had this to say about the future of ‘The World of X’
There is this one weird asterisk idea that I have that is kind of um...like if I explained it, it would make sense. We'll see what happens. Let's get this movie done first. See if people like it and go from there.
We can theorize what this fourth film might be — could it follow Pearl (Mia Goth) after the events of 2022’s “Pearl”? There is an untackled amount of time in between the events of “Pearl” in 1918, and “X” in the 1970s. I certainly want more “Pearl” than “X,” it was the better films of the two.
