We can now officially scratch off any chance, albeit minimal, that David Fincher’s “The Killer” will be going to Telluride. Venice boss Alberto Barbera confirmed that Fincher’s latest is screening at Venice on September 3rd. This means that “The Killer” isn’t going to the Rocky Mountains. I’m really wondering what Netflix is attempting to do by not sending “The Killer” to either Telluride or Toronto. It might appear in tomorrow’s lineup announcement of NYFF, but I remain skeptical about that occurring as well.
