A new Image from Harmony Korine's 'AGGRO DR1FT' has been unveiled by the New York Film Festival. So far, the marketing for this film has been one big WTF.
I don’t think anybody knows exactly what to expect from this film. It was shot in infrared and is said to be an action-oriented movie. Even the plot synopsis, released today, sounds obtuse and batsh*t crazy:
“A melancholic assassin named BO prepares to vanquish a demonic crime lord in this feverish, transporting action-movie miasma of skulls and swords, masks and machine guns, strippers, mobsters, horned demons and hot cars.”
You got that? I’ll be seeing this one at the TIFF midnight premiere in a little less than three weeks from now. The film stars rapper Travis Scott and Jordi Mollà. Its runtime is 80-minutes.
Criterion's December lineup has some great additions to the library, but the title that jumped out at me is Werner Herzog's "Grizzly Man," which officially joins the Collection on December 8.
