Several interesting revelations from Christopher Nolan following his interview with the French media’s Hugo Decrypte. It’s an usually done chat, filled with a game of questionnaire. Refreshing stuff. Here are the most interesting answers he gave:
He will never make a TV series
He no longer wants to make superhero films
He declined to say if he will ever direct Star Wars
He still wants to be making films in 10 years
The superhero movie answer is not that surprising. Nolan has already criticized the current state of the superhero genre and he’s clearly made a mark with his ‘Dark Knight’ trilogy, to the point where he doesn’t really need to delve further into comic book territory.
Also, it’s very interesting that he refuses to respond to the Star Wars question, politely saying “pass.” I’d rather he not delve into Kathleen Kennedy’s current mess, but maybe he has other ideas.
