I don’t want to watch Universal’s “opening look” trailer for Nolan’s “Oppenehimer,” which runs close to six-minutes, because I want to go in with a fresh set of eyes when I watch the film next week. Edited by the film’s editor Jennifer Lame, this extended look features scenes from Nolan’s film as well as the movie’s score from Ludwig Göransson.
It gives me no pleasure to report that this is one of the worst films of Schrader’s career. Wooden acting, Jack Huston and Sofia Boutella are badly miscast, the script is dull, the photography is flat; nothing works.
