The first episode of “Secret Invasion” premiered on Disney+ last Wednesday. The viewership numbers are not good and another sign of a crumbling Marvel universe.
“Secret Invasion” drew 994K domestic views in its first 5 days of release, according to Samba TV. It’s the second-lowest viewed MCU Disney+ show premiere. Only Ms. Marvel (775k) was worse.
This is another failed superhero endeavor for Marvel/Disney, they’re really trying to steer the ship away from the incoming iceberg, but can they? I have my doubts. It doesn’t help that one of their important MCU actors (Jonathan Majors) is in major legal trouble.
What’s next for the MCU? “The Marvels,” “Deadpool 3,” “Captain America: Brave New World” and “Thunderbolt.” Maybe ‘Deadpool’ will be a hit, but I’m not quite sure about the other two.
