‘Oppenheimer’ Screening for NY/L.A. Press on July 18th

June 24, 2023 Jordan Ruimy

They are really going to wait until the very last week to screen Christopher Nolan’s “Oppenheimer,” and that’s alright. Most of the recent Nolans also screened very close to the release date.

“Oppenheimer” is set to screen for non-junket press on July 18th. The film gets released wide three days later. The review embargo is still set for July 19th.

Nolan’s biopic has been privately screened here and there. I’ve spoken to two people who saw it — one was interviewing Nolan and star Cillian Murphy this month, the other was semi-related to the Oppenheimer family.

Coincidentally, Greta Gerwig’s “Barbie” is also press screening the same date and time as “Oppenheimer.” I would have to imagine either Warner Bros or Universal will make a scheduling change.
