Barry Keoghan is no longer part of the “Gladiator” sequel. And, for good reason. As I wrote earlier this month, Keoghan made the smart move of hopping onboard Andrea Arnold’s next film, “Bird.”
I can also confirm, via Production Weekly, something that hasn’t been reported anywhere, that film is being produced by A24. This one will be getting some extra clout because of that.
There are no plot details available on “Bird”, but the film presented a scheduling conflict for Keoghan, according to multiple sources. Fran’s Rogowski is also part of the case. It’s set to start production next week in London.
Arnold is the maverick filmmaker behind “Fish Tank” and “American Honey.” The fact that she’s about to shoot a new film is great news.
