I’m actually surprised to report that Tran Anh Hung‘s “The Pot au Feu” is richly satisfying. It’s one for the foodies, you can call it “food porn” if you’d like, but mixed with wonderful romance. Juliette Binoche and Benoît Magimel are a magnetic pairing. This is a film very much in the same tradition as fellow foodie cinematic delights “Big Night” and Babette’s Feast.” I’ll update this post with more thoughts soon, but I’m now off to another screening — it’s been a busy day.
As expected, Snyder's latest is being torn apart by TIFF attendees. No mercy given. The film, which had its world premiere this evening, is being called by some one of the worst movies to ever premiere at the festival.
