‘Fantastic Four’ Cast Announced Next Week — Adam Driver, Paul Mescal, Antonio Banderas and Jodie Comer Rumored

April 29, 2023 Jordan Ruimy

This has to be tackled.

It seems as though all the “Fantastic Four” rumors and fan-castings will be put to rest next week as Daniel Richtman is reporting that Marvel will reveal the cast of their upcoming reboot.

The hype for this movie is strong. Everybody knows how there have been four botched attempts at adapting one of the most famous superhero stories on-screen — in 1994, 2005, 2007 and 2015.

So, who is rumoured? Adam Driver’s name keeps being brought up. He’d play leader of the pack Reed Richards. It’s an odd pairing, especially since Driver tends to sign up more to auteur movies and isn’t really a superhero kind of actor.

The fabulous Jodie Comer’s name has also been fiercely speculated, via numerous sources, as a possibility. Antonio Banderas seems more of a certainty as villain Galactus.

Paul Mescal, according to Richtman, has been offered the Human Torch role. No word yet on whether he’s accepted it.

Mila Kunis has denied rumors that she was cast as The Thing. However, she added that she does know who is in the movie. Does that mean she has another role in it? Nah. However, there are reports that Marvel does want a female actress to play The Thing.

Director Matt Shakman is attached to this F4 relaunch. He produced and directed Disney’s “WandaVision” and has directed episodes of “The Great”, “It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia”, “Fargo” and “Game of Thrones”. Basically, he’s the perfect candidate to be controlled by the Marvel machine.
