French actor Vincent Macaigne has revealed on his Instagram that he is shooting a new film with acclaimed filmmaker Olivier Assayas [via The Film Stage].
Production has just begun on “Hors du Temps”, with Assays’ DP regular Eric Gautier lensing one of his films for the first time since 2012’s “Something in the Air”.
Last year, Assayas had confirmed that he was working on a project with his “Personal Shopper” actress Kristen Stewart. There are no details suggesting that this is that project, but we’ll keep updating when more comes out.
Olivier Assayas released his rather impressive “Irma Vep” TV series last year. It’s well worth checking out. Before that, his last two films (“Non-Fiction” and “Wasp Network”) were critical disappointments. Here’s hoping he gets back on track with this one.
