I hearing the Safdie Brothers’ next film, starring Adam Sandler and Gael García Bernal, might have bumped up its production date from April to June.
The 340-page script is still being worked on. Rewrites are occurring. Netflix is set to distribute this film. I have nothing more to add at this time.
There is however speculation that Benicio del Toro might also be joining the cast, but I’m not entirely sure if Bernal ended up taking his role. The whole thing is being shrouded in mystery.
Ever since their double whammy of “Good Time” and “Uncut Gems,” the Safdie Brothers have become one of the most interesting filmmakers working today. This upcoming project will be one of the most highly anticipated movies of 2024.
