The Warner Bros booth at CCXP in Brazil, features a preview of George Miller’s upcoming prequel, “Furiosa.” The image, although not in high quality, can be seen above (via Collider).
“Furiosa” is said to explore the origins of the titular character from “Mad Max: Fury Road,” played here by Anya Taylor-Joy. Chris Hemsworth is also part of the cast, playing a powerful warlord (it’s rumoured he might be playing ‘Fury Road’ villain Immortan Joe).
The prequel will tackle Immortan Joe’s ascendancy and how he gained influence to rally warriors. How Furiosa came to meet and be trusted by Immortan Joe will also be part of the plot. The prequel is rumored to be set 25-30 years before the events of ‘Fury Road’ and right after “The Road Warrior.”
