A24 Erotic Thriller ‘Babygirl,’ With Nicole Kidman, Starts Production December 5th

I’ve been looking extensively into this mysterious new project. What I do know is that A24 will produce “Babygirl,” starring Nicole Kidman. The film is said to be an erotic thriller about a career woman (Kidman) in her 40s who ends up having an affair with a 21-year-old intern

The intern is to be played by “Triangle of Sadness” star Harris Dickinson. I’m told Kidman’s husband will be portrayed by Antonio Banderas. Jean Reno is also set to star. A December 5th shoot is set for the film.

“Babygirl” is directed by Halina Reijn, she helmed last year’s A24 breakout “Bodies, Bodies, Bodies.” There was a lot of style and no substance to that film, but the direction did show some promise.

Here are the plot details —

An erotic thriller. A career woman in her 40s has an affair with a 21-year-old intern. Romy has a beautiful family (including her loving husband Jacob) and a thriving business - she is adored (and sometimes feared) by all. But when empathetic young intern Samuel (Dickinson) comes to work at her company, Romy's outward facade of perfection is about to implode.
