Plot Twist! A group of A-list Actors Propose $150M deal to SAG-AFTRA

October 19, 2023 Jordan Ruimy

Just when you thought the SAG-AFTRA was going to drag on to next year … a group of A-list actors, including George Clooney, Ben Affleck, Emma Stone and Scarlett Johansson, are proposing a $150M deal to SAG-AFTRA. This is a residual formula where the lowest names on the call sheet, those who most desperately need the money, will be the first ones to be paid. The deal proposed would last 3 years and include A-list actors paying the costs to AMPTP actors and freeing the cap on membership fees. This would help pump up health benefits and other areas to SAG-AFTRA members. It’s a take it or leave it offer. Just take it.
