Telluride Lineup Includes Inarritu, Field, Guadagnino, Lelio and More

September 1, 2022 Jordan Ruimy

The lineup for the Telluride Film Festival Lineup has been revealed. My predictions were fairly accurate, but one big surprise is “Lady Chatterly’s Lover,” which was supposed to be a TIFF world premiere.

Otherwise, we have the big heavyweights that we were all expecting: “Women Talking,” “Empire of Light,” “Bardo,” “TÁR,” “Bones and All,” and “The Wonder.”

All rumors pointing to “The Whale” and “The Son” not showing up to Telluride because its cast/crew couldn’t attend should be put to rest. Florence Pugh has been confirmed NOT to show up for the world premiere of “The Wonder,” the only talent showing up for that movie will be its director Sebastian Lelio.

The 49th Telluride Film Festival is proud to present the following new feature films to play in its main program:

“Women Talking”
“TÁR”
“The March on Rome”
“My Name is Alfred Hitchcock”
“Armageddon Time”
“Bardo or (False Chronicle of a Handful of Truths)”
“Bones and All”
“Broker”
“Lady Chatterly’s Lover”
“One Fine Morning”
“Empire of Light”
“The Wonder”
“Living”
“Close”
“Good Night Oppy”
“Holy Spider”
“Wildcat”
“The End of the World”
“Icarus: The Aftermath”
“A Compassionate Spy”
“Retrograde”
“Godland”
“Squaring the Circle”
“The Corridors of Power”
“Tori and Lokita”
“If These Walls Could Sing”
“Bob Wine, Ghetto President”
“The Future Tense”
“The U.S. and the Holocaust”
“The Defenders”
“Last Flight Home”
“Sr.”
“Le Pupille”
“Merkel”
“The Creators”
“The Robber Symphony”

“Finally, the festival has a few surprises planned with its TBA slots on the schedule. These are rumored to include another Cannes breakout, a buzzy documentary fresh from Venice, and an outdoor screening on Saturday night alleged to feature another major actress currently on the awards trail. Stay tuned for more coverage in the days ahead.”

Probably, “Aftersun”, “All the Beauty and the Bloodshed”, and “Un Couple.”

If you’re keeping track of when the big titles are screening. The schedule has Polley, Lelio, and Inarritu on Friday. Mendes, Field and Guadagnino on Saturday.
