Netflix Dates “Bardo”, “White Noise”, “The Good Nurse” and More …

August 30, 2022 Jordan Ruimy

Netflix has announced a few key release dates for the fall season. The below titles chosen are their top awards season contenders. I’m sure I’m missing some under-the-radar stuff, but I don’t really see “Lady Chatterly’s Lover” as being an awards season priority.

  • Sept. 28th — “Blonde” (In theaters Sept. 16th)

  • Oct. 19th —“The Good Nurse”

  • Oct. 19th — “Wendell & Wild”

  • Nov. 23rd — “The Swimmers”

  • Dec. 9th — “Pinocchio”

  • Dec. 16th — “Bardo”

  • Dec. 23rd — “Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery”

  • Dec. 30th — “White Noise” (In theaters Nov. 16th)

  • TBD December — “The Wonder”

  • January 6th — “The Pale Blue Eye”

As expected, David Fincher’s “The Killer” is nowhere to be found. There’s also no “Shirley,” “You People,” “The Mother,” and “Rustin” — all presumably 2023.

Noted in past articles, the priority for Netflix this season seems to be Rian Johnson’s “Knives Out” sequel, followed by “Bardo,” and “Pinocchio.”

Inarritu’s “Bardo, False Chronicle of a Handful of Truths” will open theatrically everywhere in Mexico on October 27th, followed by a limited theatrical release in the US, Spain and Argentina on November 4th, before rolling out in a global expansion on November 18th. The film will debut on Netflix December 16th.
