Aubrey Plaza to Star in Francis Ford Coppola’s ‘Megalopolis’

August 22, 2022 Jordan Ruimy

We are around 8 weeks away before production begins on Francis Ford Coppola’s “Megalopolis.”

Aubrey Plaza has just been added to the cast. Joy! She’ll be joined by Adam Driver, Nathalie Emmanuel, Forest Whitaker, Laurence Fishburne and Jon Voight.

I’m a big admirer of Plaza’s acting. Some of her marquee roles include “The To-Do List,” “Ingrid Goes West,” and “Emily the Criminal.”

The legendary Oscar-winning Coppola is self-funding “Megalopolis,” a passion project more than three decades in the making. The cost is said to be around $120 million for the epic.

“Megalopolis” will be a Roman-style epic in the story of an architect who wants to rebuild a utopian New York City after a devastating disaster.

Production is set to begin in November and run through March 2023.
