I’m done with this movie. When it gets released, we’ll know it exists. In the meantime, we have “The Tree of Life,” “The Thin Red Line,” “Days of Heaven,” “Badlands,” and “The New World” to whet our appetites with.
Malick just doesn’t know when the “molding” of his new creation can be “perfected”. It’s as simple as that. He’s been working this way since 2011’s “The Tree of Life,” which wrapped photography three years prior in 2008.
