Another one bites the dust.
Yorgos Lanthimos’ much anticipated tackling of Frankenstein is not going to be released this year.
“Poor Things” is now on officially a 2023 release. I was still holding out some hope after hearing that it wasn’t ready a month or so ago, alas, that intel turned out to be true. Now maybe we’ll get to see it at Berlin or Cannes.
The film, which wrapped shooting around January (maybe even earlier) stars Emma Stone and Mark Ruffalo. Lanthimos has been very secretive about this project, not giving out too much info on it as of now.
Why the delay? I have absolutely no idea. It’s all being kept under wraps. My best guess is delayed FX work.
