Jane Campion has finally responded to Sam Elliot’s nasty comments regarding her Oscar nominated neo-Western “The Power of the Dog.”
Speaking at tonight’s DGA red carpet, Campion didn’t mince words when asked about Elliot’s recent remarks that her film was a “piece of shit,” among many other insults the veteran actor threw at Campion’s film:
"Hit The Trifecta Of Misogyny And Xenophobia And Homophobia. I'm sorry, he was being a little bit of a B-I-T-C-H. He's not a cowboy; he's an actor. The West is a mythic space and there's a lot of room on the range. I think it's a little bit sexist.”
She said what needed to be said.
