Aaron Taylor-Johnson Might Be the New Frontrunner to Play Bond

November 29, 2022 Jordan Ruimy

A report claims that Aaron Taylor-Johnson had a secret screen test with Bond producer Barbara Broccoli at Pinewood studios, and it went very well:

“Aaron went for a screen test to be the next Bond in September and producers and Barbara loved him. He is now one of the front-runners.”

Supposedly, there will be no “Jane Bond.” He will remain a male spy agent. I had my doubt about Daniel Craig, but he surprisingly delivered in two of the best movies of this five decade plus franchise: “Casino Royale” and “Skyfall.” I don’t ask much from this series but those two movies were aces.

Bookmakers William Hill have placed Henry Cavill at the top as their odds-on favourite with 5/2, followed by Regé Jean-Page with odds of 4/1, Tom Hardy and James Norton both with 6/1 and Chiwetel Ejiofor at 7/1. Johnson can probably now be added near the top.

This follows reports that Idris Elba walked away from 'years of talks' with Broccoli to become the new James Bond.
