Friday is when Martin McDonagh’s “The Banshees of Inisherin” gets released theatrically. I’ve already weighed in on it, and even stated that it’s the best movie I’ve seen so far this year.
‘Banshees’ currently sits at 100% on Rotten Tomatoes, with more than 86 reviews already counted. Its average rating currently stands at 8.7 out of 10. On Metacritic it has an 89 score.
The film is far and away the best of McDonagh’s career. It’s a near-biblical allegory that parallels our current times. Collin Farrell, Brendan Gleeson and Kerry Condon are phenomenal in their respective roles. What more can I say? I wrote about it over the weekend.
