Production is about to wrap on Maïwenn’s “La Favorite” in just a few more days. Depp’s comeback vehicle, post-Heard, has him playing King Louis XV in the French director’s latest.
French journalist Bernard Montiel revealed last night that Depp and Maïwenn have not been getting along at all during the shoot of “La Favorite”. Montiel revealed there was tension for months between the two.
Supposedly, Maïwenn has been none-too-impressed by Depp’s punctuality. The actor is said to be frequently late or just wouldn’t show up to the set at all. Production is going “very, very badly” according to Montiel, adding, “they are just not getting along, and keep fighting.”
You’d think Depp would have learned his lesson and been grateful enough in getting a second chance within the industry, but he clearly hasn’t learned anything. Why would anyone in the US hire him after hearing this latest drama? Here’s hoping that, at the very least, Maiwenn’s film turns out okay.
