The projections tell us it will likely end its run with an ultimate domestic run of $775 million — this would ultimately make it surpass “Avatar’s” $760 million in third place at the all-time box-office charts.
No Way Home’s extraordinary box-office success happened during a pandemic, and a time when most people were predicting the worst impending death of moviegoing. This spells good fate for the future of big-budget blockbusters, the 18-29 crowd will always want to shell out their hard-earned dough for the next superhero epic, but as far as the mid-budget adult drama goes? Its inevitable place seems to be headed more and more towards streaming.
