Variety is reporting that the Golden Globes will not have any presenters at this year’s ceremony due, to well, absolutely nobody in Hollywood willing to present the awards.
The trade obtained a copy of an internal email from the Globes talent booker that was sent to several publicity agencies inquiring about their clients participating in the show. However, sources say, no celebs have agreed to take part.
No details were provided about how the winners would be revealed or where the Globes will occur. “The event will have limited guests and with strict COVID protocols that include not only proof of full vaccination, but also a booster shot and a negative PCR test,” the email reads.

“If one were to take a step back from all this hysteria, they would realize that the HFPA is inclusive by nature. Once jokingly referred to as the United Nations of Hollywood, its members come from all over the world.”
“Last year’s 78th annual Golden Globes was a bloated, glitchy, nervous wreck. Numerous technical glitches were to be found in this mostly-virtual ceremony. The fact that there’s no Black member doesn’t mean there isn’t a person of color. Keep in mind that this ridiculous controversy, and awards show, is happening in the middle of a pandemic-inflicted economy, where more important issues need to be raised and an outrageous number of people have lost their jobs. Being enraged by a Foreign organization not having Black members is as 2021 as it gets.”
As expected, Snyder's latest is being torn apart by TIFF attendees. No mercy given. The film, which had its world premiere this evening, is being called by some one of the worst movies to ever premiere at the festival.
